The Rouders || Girls night IN!

Avete mai visto il Film “The rouders- Il Giocatore”?
ve lo consiglio vivamente! Ne sono rimasta affascinata qualche anno fa!

While there’s nothing like strapping on some killer pumps, gathering a group of girlfriends, and hitting the town for a girls’ night out, sometimes it can be just as fun to stay in. Yes, going out has it’s positives: cheap or even free drinks, good music and a nice ambiance, and the possibility of meeting new people. However, after awhile, going out can be more of a chore than it’s worth. Waiting in long lines to get into pubs and discos and dealing with large crowds can be exhausting and having to endure a barrage of men with terrible pick up lines is knackering. So what are some alternatives for a night of fun with your girls? Movie nights can be entertaining and making dinner as a group is always a treat, but sometimes it’s good to mix it up a little. Why not try a girls’ game night to switch up your typical routine? From crafty cocktails to fun prizes, a girls’ game night is the perfect way to spend some time with a few of your favorite ladies.

Cool Cocktails and Delicious Dishes

Of course you’re going to want to provide some beverages and snacks at your game night, and you have plenty of options for treats to serve. Go BYOB and have your guests bring their own alcohol and you provide the mixers, or go for something more creative. Craft themed cocktails that pair well with the games you intend to feature at your gathering. If you don’t have the skills of a master bartender, you can easily find interesting combinations and mixes online or through mobile apps like the new food and drink app from Bing, which, according to ANSA, has a “virtual winery” that gives details on approximately 1.5 million different bottles of wines and hundreds of popular cocktails. You could also go with the cosmopolitan, which is a go-to drink among ladies and is simple to make. Many of these cocktails are available in “skinny” or lower calorie alternatives, so you and your girls are free to drink up. When it comes to food for game night, you’ll want to play it safe with basic appetizers and snacks. Platters with different meats and cheeses, along with a variety of olives and peperoncini, are quick and easy to make. You can also ask your friends to bring their favorite snacks as well. Just remember to keep it light-you don’t want your guests to overindulge and be too tired to play.

What to Play

While you have your pick of games, not all will be suitable for your girls’ game night. Board games are always good and fun, and there are many exciting ones to choose from. While you could go for old standards like Monopoly, try something new and different by incorporating some classic, childhood favorites. Games like Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and Trouble are perfect games for a night combining both entertainment and nostalgia. If you get sick of the board games or want something with a bit more action, try more interactive games like Charades. Card games like blackjack and poker are always great for game nights, particularly if you have a large group of girls. Blackjack is pretty simple and easy to teach and learn, however, poker may be a bit more difficult for you and the gang to grasp. If you and your friends aren’t up on the rules and strategies, consult sites that cater to players before your party. You may even want to get in a few introductory hands prior to your game night. GD Casino allows you to play with free money before you try your luck with the real deal, so you can come to the table prepared and win big. Additionally, you can learn the ropes of blackjack, for example, by reading theirstep-by-step guide on how to play and eventually master the game. Just be sure to keep that tip on the hush if you’re looking to win out against your friends.

Prizes

Although the aim of your girls’ game night is to spend time with your friends and not necessarily win money, you can still enjoy some healthy competition and give away some fun prizes. You don’t have to spend much money on your prizes either. Use candy or other treats as tokens instead of chips during your card games and give away sample-size beauty products to the winners of your board games. Remember everyone is a winner, so send your guests home with swag bags full small goodies like the latest nail polish colors that are featured in Vogueand different kinds of lip balm. This is a fabulous way to raise the stakes, but keep the game fun and friendly.

  1. concordo con me anche io specialmente in inverno, preferisco rimanere in casa con gli amici a giocare a poker, a scambiare quattro chiacchiere.
E poi chi lo dice che per divertirsi bisogna sempre uscire a far casino!!
