A walk in the Fifties

Me ne sono innamorata subito

PERFETTE!

According to Vogue, among the top Spring 2013 colors there will be Back&White as well.

But why don’t you reinvent this fashion rule so that you will be the protagonist of your own style?  That’s what I did with the outfits I wore today: I added a personal touch of Navy to the Black & White rule.
Although I must admit that Black and White are perfect together, in order to achieve a brighter style that fits in my everyday life I decided to add a dash of dark blue to break the monotony. So I matched a black leather jacket with Mongolian fur with the white Visual Sisi shirt and the Navy blue Stark Leggings. The Leggings are by Sisi as well, they’re smoothly knitted and they have an absolutely unique central ankle slit. I immediately fell in love with them!
After combining the outfits together, I realized I was dressed in perfect 50’s style. Someone even told me I looked like the “Half-Blonde” double of Sandy from Grease! Do you remember when Sandy goes “Tell me about it… Stud”?
It was awesome walking downtown with such a fifties look!

To finish up your look, here are some tips to get a perfect 50’s hairstyle in 5 STEPS.

– Blow dry your hair with hot air holding your head down and keeping the hairdryer close to the roots for about a minute. Afterwards, repeat using cold air as this procedure will fix the roots in the right way.
– Now you can stand up and turn on your curling iron. I generally use a regular flat iron, but if you are no expert then I recommend using a proper curling iron.
– Start curling the front hair so that it frames your face (using a hairpin may help separating your hair in sections).
– If you have a side fringe pull it back, or if you wear bangs fluff them with a hairdryer or using a roller.
– Apply hairspray and after a few minutes gently adjust your hairstyle using a wooden comb.

THAT’S IT, YOU’RE PERFECT!
